Worked for the Mayor of London's Climate Change Adviser and at a London theatre teaching people about climate change...  Passionate about the environment and would like to bring my knowledge to Hong Kong. Believe everyone should be engaged in helping reduce pollution - everyone from people in the arts and business world to the fashion industry and food sector. It's not all about recyling and solar panels, there's plenty of stuff we can all do which is cool and interesting and would like to communicate that message to Hong Kongers  - not just by giving out 'green' tips but suggesting long term lifestyle changes which will benfit our wallets, health and happiness.

Forever & Again: ‘Swopping’ in Hong Kong

Get show-stopping style without the heart-stopping prices… go swopping

Swopping – exchanging clothes, handbags, and accessories with others – available now in Hong Kong!

Vintage is cool, classy and sophisticated. This is just like going to a vintage shop yet it doesn’t cost you a thing.

The Brits chuck out over one million tonnes of clothes every year… swopping can help reduce the waste mountain we are producing. It’s easy - you get, as well as give.

Swopping is a social event with a green edge… over some wine, canapés and conversation, you are saving the planet. By cutting down on the amount of clothes we buy, we are contributing to reducing that nasty pile of unwanted garments that get thrown in the rubbish when no longer wanted. Waste is a waste when someone else might treasure your trash.

Cotton is THE most polluting crop in the world – through the use of pesticides we are damaging the environment. Organic cotton, hemp and linen are all greener choices. However, to be truly fabulous, just reuse. That’s the beauty of swopping. You want something gorgeous for a date? Check. You want to look good at the office? Check. You’ve just started up yoga and need a proper outfit? Check. We’ve all wanted these things, so of course what we want is already out there in someone’s wardrobe… we don’t have to visit a shop to get it.

Green is far too often associated with having less, consuming less. Instead, this is about sustainable consumption. You can have what you want and help save the planet.

Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan became the face of swopping last year. Lindsay donated an Issa dress, two pairs of Jimmy Choos and a Miu Miu bag. Just imagine coming away with any of those after handing in some shoes you don’t wear anymore/ didn’t fit in the first place…

Our first swopping party in Hong Kong has taken place sucessfully at the Culture Club on Thursday 4th February.   And I am going to share more about it with you.

So… feel fabulous, look fabulous and enjoy being green the fabulous way!

Thanks Beth, that's the idea... we want people to get what they want and not even realise this is environmentally friendly. No more hemp shirts or greenwash, this is being green with style...

What a great blog! The swop shop was fab - I highly recommend it; last night I came away with a new glitzy handbag and stack of new books and a lovely necklace. Great!
