十多年前於紐約留學期間被當地五光十色、五花百門的誘惑深深吸引,啟發日後「既然要花費便應選擇有質素的消費」的玩樂態度。常「以不是沒設上限的資源得到合意的優質享受」而沾沾自喜、暗暗偷笑。


過去數年為法國高級品牌工作,促成08年仲夏於夢想之都巴黎短聚以體驗彼邦日常享受生活之道,並完成Le Cordon Bleu飲食學府的品酒課程。


成立queeneco.com,希望與眾分享「Spend Wise, Live Chic」的生活消閒智慧,相信會是很有趣的事情。

仿如回到紐約的意大利餐廳- Posto Pubblico

紐約是個melting pot,混雜不同人種,其一是多意大利裔移居該處 ,在那裏的China Town附近便有Little Italy。 以我印象記得(抱歉,9-11後沒有重遊了)那理的餐廳多是無甚花巧地道意大利式裝潢。 相對地働出Little Italy ,於Downtown Soho、Tribeca、Village等一帶,卻不難發掘注入紐約casual chic氣息的意大利餐廳。 如果你要我形容甚麼是紐約casual chic情調,我不是飲食界專家,純個人感覺可以四個字來概括:Unpretentious + Unitimidating + Quality + Style 。 

 

盡管枱與枱之間鄰近,每抬客人不會感局促或尷尬,很自然投入自我空間,盡情大聱交談風花雪月 (大聲說話不是只限於荼餐廳或茶樓)。  這可歸功於幽暗的燈光、upbeat的背境音樂,每張餐枱上的小蠟燭,以及高高的樓厎營做出的氣氛 ,就是這些元素,有別於其他中上價的西餐廳。

Posto Pubblico賣的是home cooking style 意菜 ,推崇原汁原味 ,新鮮食材勝於一切,所有食材無味精添加,也不Over Seasoning蓋過新鮮味道 。食材方面量盡從本地購入,選購天然或有機,切合環保低碳概念。唯一不太New York的,便是香港的clientele始終不及New Yorkers般 dress up : )。

 

 

是夜點了的New York Strips、Pasta、 Rosemary Popatos
是夜點了的都不錯: Grass Fed New York Strips (HK$220)- 恰到好處5成熟、Orecchiette, Rapini, Sausage
(HK$120)- 口感令我想起在米蘭時吃的有嚼勁al dente、Baked Potatoes with Rosemary (HK$60)- 很喜愛這些薯仔 。Less is more,簡單但好吃。
之前下午試過這裡的Pizza,也好吃。
美中不足是10時半後來飲酒已沒有食物供應,不能滿足口癮,而我的banker好友F小姐及她的好友分別不滿她們賣酒及坐位安排服務,希望能改善。

    We went there last Sat and was very frustrated by their service. There were ~20 wines on the list. We ordered bottle #5. The waitress brought us bottle #7, which was more expensive. She said they were out of stock in #5, and so was the one a notch more expensive, ie #6. Basically she was trying to get us to take bottle #7. When we took the list and ordered bottle #3, which was cheaper, she came back and said bottle #5 was available after all. We would like to put this down to incompetence, but could not avoid the feeling that this was a not so subtle rookie effort to get us to buy the more expensive wine instead. We were a party of 3 and made our dinner reservation 2 weeks in advance. Yet they tried to seat us at a tiny bar table for dinner and didn't react well to our request to change to a bigger table. We waited maybe 15-20 min before they gave us a bigger table. It was definitely pretentious. I have friends who had similar table arrangement issues, and a friend who had a minimum charge miscommunication issue. It was serious enough that she wrote the manager to complain. Food was decent. But given the service, it's not worth the aggravation.
